Dijiorré Perez is a rising third-year medical student at Meharry Medical College. She is originally from Providence, Rhode Island, and earned her Bachelor of Science in Cell and Molecular Biology from the University of Rhode Island in 2020. After graduation, she worked as a dermatology medical assistant in both Rhode Island and South Florida.

She also participated in frontline medical relief efforts during the COVID border crisis in Texas and later completed a post-baccalaureate certificate program at Temple University. Being bilingual has further fueled her commitment to health equity by allowing her to better advocate for and educate patients from diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds.

Dijiorré is passionate about using her voice to advocate for underrepresented and underserved patients by promoting education within the dermatology community and engaging with local communities to improve diagnostic accuracy and culturally sensitive care.
