David I. Latoni, MD, MPH is a dermatology resident at the University of Puerto Rico and a native of San Juan, Puerto Rico. He earned his BA in Sociology from Duke University, his MPH from the University of Puerto Rico School of Public Health, his MD from Tufts University School of Medicine, and completed a dermatology research fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School.

His work has led to multiple first-author publications in journals including the Journal of Clinical Investigation, Journal of Investigative Dermatology, and Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology. Beyond research, David has led community initiatives to install public sunscreen dispensers across Puerto Rico and Massachusetts, promoting accessible skin cancer prevention. He is deeply committed to mentoring high school and college students who aspire to careers in medicine.
